Just a reminder, in case anyone hasn't heard about the Duke conference
next week:

VISIBLE EVIDENCE: Strategies and Practices in Documentary Film and Video
Duke University
Durham, NC
Sept 9-12, 1993

This is billed as the "first annual" conference dealing with critical and
theoretical issues surrounding nonfiction media, and the program looks
very exciting. Panels run all day Thursday through Saturday, with screenings
and receptions in the evenings, plus a Sunday AM panel/workshop on "Teaching
Documentary Film and Video."

The conference is sponsored by Duke, USC, UNC, Penn State, and NC School of
the Arts. For more info, contact Jane Gaines or Tom Whiteside at Duke's Film
and Video Program: (919) 684-4130.
