Has anyone heard of a term "white heat" used in connection with urban crime
films of the late 60s and early 70s. Films such as DIRTY HARRY, DEATH
WISH, BULLITT, etc. I am trying to find a source on this specific term,
rather than using an umbrella term such as "neo-noir." It seems that the
term was utilized to express the urban rage inherent in this rogue
cop/vigilante justice type of film. Any leads at all would be most helpful.

Thanks,
