Dear colleagues,

TikTok Cultures Research Network is pleased to announce our 6th event, TikTok
Cultures & Asian Diaspora on 17 October 2022. This Roundtable event
features TikTokers, community and industry professionals, and scholars

TikTok cultures.

TikTok has been considered a place for people in marginalized communities
including Asian diasporas around the world. This half-day online-only
Roundtable will feature moderated discussion between the panelists to
reflect and envision the future of TikTok cultures and Asian diasporas on
the platform, followed by audience Q&A. The event will be moderated by Dr
Jin Lee and A/Prof Crystal Abidin.

Our speakers include: Dr Earvin Charles B. Cabalquinto (Deakin U), Dr
Satveer Kaur-Gill (Dartmouth U), Dr Tara Ross (U of Canterbury), Mr Pele
