Who wanted to know what Terence Malick was up to? Variety, 7/11-17, reports
that he has been rewriting the script for an adaptation of Walker Percy's
"The Moviegoer". He's redoing a 20 year old script originally done by Jim
McBride and Kit Carson. He will be done by the end of the summer. Rumor
had it that he was interested in directing, but "close sources" deny that.
Negotiations are underway with Julia Roberts and Tim Robbins for the leads
(surely Variety is not exercising tongue in cheek?).
