Henry...thought you (and others) might like to know about my favorite
listing of films by genre:
 
Films by Genre: 775 Categories, Styles, Trends and Movements Defined,
with a Filmography for Each
 
Daniel Lopez    Jefferson, NC/McFarland & Company, 1993
 
It has a number of categories relating to water:
 
    Sea Films   Underwater Movie    Submarine War Film   Pirate Films
 
One nice thing about the book is that it defines each genre, lists
related ones and has the filmography in chronological order.  It also
includes TV programs.
