Britta,
I think of Victor Nunez's _Ruby in paradise_ (1993). It may be way off the
mark, however, as the film does not focus on kleptomania nor is the
character Ruby completely kleptomanic (word?). But there is a sequence
where, in response to depression, and to having an affair against her
better judgment, she goes into a store and steals several articles of
clothing.
I keep thinking I've seen others, but no titles come to mind or any scenes
I can pinpoint. I'll write again if I remember.
