I investigated the case of Saul Bass and Hitchcock for a book I have
published in
Spain about the film. Saul Bass was almost always claiming that he directed
the
shower sequence. I guess that he claimed it privately but I consider that it
was
in Sitges Festival (Barcelona, Spain)in 1995 where he claimed it publicaly.
After talking with him and reading al what was written about it in my opinion
Bass wrote the sequence and Hitch directed it.Why did he claim he was the
director?
It was true that he wrote all the seqüence and that itch followed the script
faitfully. Maybe Bass considered himself as the complete author.
