The Academy Library is definitely the place you need to go for PCA files.
I don't think anything will be sent to you, since the files are special
collections materials. If you plan to visit, you need to make a request to
use the files you need in advance. It wouldn't hurt to talk to one of the
archivists before you go. Check out the Academy's web site:
www.oscars.org. You'll find lots of information about the Margaret Herrick
Library (which houses the PCA collection) and Center for Motion Picture
Study.
