Lie detectors used on screen:
 
Only _Basic Instinct_ comes to mind (for me), but you get two uses: Sharon
Stone's character is seen hooked up and Michael Douglas' character tells us
he took it, and that he knows people who beat the machine.  Then they
discuss lie detectors during their drive home, which is probably where he
says he took the test.
