Hey Mr. Pryluck --
I was one of your students back at Temple U -- took your doc course
about fifteen years ago.
Now I write screenplays in Hollywood. Have had several lo-bud movies
made but am hating it more each year. The producers get rich. Writers
starve or go crazy. Absolutely no respect from directors, actors,
producers or crew people. Unless you're Spielberg it just ain't worth
it!
If you ever visit the Internet Screenwriters Network, specifically the
Log Room, you can read some of my recent work -- posted under the nom
de web [name omitted by request]

Did you miss my standard lecture on "making it in the business"? Well,
maybe you did since the documentary class was not usually exposed to the
stock lecture that I administered to many groups of students on the topic.
I take no pleasure in hearing that things haven't changed out there.
May I forward your post to a discussion group SCREEN-L that has many
students? I can eliminate parts that identify you specifically, or not
as you wish. The message, though, is one that bears repeating.
Best wishes, cal

Yes, feel free to distribute my message but please remove any
identifying elements. I am still actively trying to make a living out
here and do not want to destroy any chances I may have of selling another
screenplay or two before I pack up and get out of Dodge for good.
Blacklisting is very real.
