Queen's University
The Department of Film Studies invites applications for a tenure-track
appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, to start 1 July 1996.
Applicants should demonstrate substantial achievement or exceptional promise
as a scholar and teacher of feminist studies in film, media, and culture.
Interdisciplinary approaches and research with an international orientation
are desirable.  A candidate's research may concern a subject such as film and
media in Asian, Central or South American, African, Eastern European, or
aboriginal cultures; television; advertising; or multimedia.  Teaching
responsibilities will include courses across a range of subjects in the
undergraduate programs offered by the Department.
Applicants should hold or be near completion of a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in
Film Studies or a closely related field of study.
Salary will reflect qualifications and experience.
Applicants should send, by 2 January 1996, a letter of application, curriculum
vitae and publications list, samples of scholarly writing, teaching dossier
(if available), and the names of three referees to:
