To all,
In response to the message regarding student film festivals,
I have this to offer. Here at the University of Miami, we have a semi-annual
event known as the 'Cane Film Festival. The Festival right now is open only
to UM students and work they have produced while at the University. We have
that particular restriction in place simply because we feel a need to show
the general public what the University of Miami Film School has to offer.
Submissions are accepted, then reviewed by the 'CFF organizing committee,
then shown at a one-night only screening at our brand new Dolby theater.
Hopefully this will
shed light on emerging student festivals, as well as get the word out about
our own Fest.
Thanks...
John Martinetto

Hi,
My mother and I share this email. We are both studying film and television
(her Phd, me undergrad.). My classmates/friends and I make and work on
short films, mainly documentary style. Can anyone tell me about student film
festivals at their home institutions? And if they are open to foreigners.
Thanks in advance,
Anna and Jessica
