Here's how....
Do NOT send mail to [log in to unmask]  *Do* send mail to LISTSERV@  Put the following in the first line of the message
(anything in the subject line will be ignored):
set screen-l nomail
When you come back, repeat the procedure, but write:
set screen-l mail
