       MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY LIBRARIAN (OR SPECIALIST)

MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY LIBRARIAN (OR SPECIALIST).  DUTIES:  Plans,
promotes and supports the full integration of media and technology
into the curriculum of a college which has achieved national
recognition for its campus network.  Collaborates with the other
members of the Information Resources Division (newly combined
library, computing, and media services) and faculty on use and
development of media (particularly cinema), Gopher, Mosaic, campus
cable television, satellite downlinks, the Internet, and emerging
information services.  Manages the media collection and has
significant media selection responsibilities.  Manages copyright and
licensing matters.  Participates actively in user instruction
programs and in the reference desk schedule.  Serves as liaison to
several disciplines for collection development.  QUALIFICATIONS:  The
position requires a creative and energetic individual with a master's
degree (library and information science, media, or computing strongly
preferred; additional graduate work a plus), excellent written and
oral communication skills, sound organizational and personal
management skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse
people.   Two years relevant experience as well as a broad knowledge
and aesthetic appreciation of cinema and the visual arts required.  A
particular interest in media with multicultural themes preferred.
Must be able to perform duties associated with a public information
desk, visual and audio arts, operation of microcomputers, and normal
media set-ups including moderate lifting. COMPENSATION:  Salary
