HI.....I noticied the discussion on Walt. I have read a few
biographies of Walt and he was not the easiest man to work for.
I have read where he was walking on the lot and would walk up to
someone and tell them right then and there the man was fired.
I agree that he did give credit's in the films, but who really
was the driving force behind the early animations.
Some say ub iwerks (sp) behind a lot of the animation and ideas.
but that is hard to prove.
The wonderful world of Color had some movies I think shown
that had orginally be shown in the shows..........
Walt had a vision, and that became disney empire. Now we can
debate whether walt really got the idea for the parks like he
said, or did he copy ideas from Tivoli gardens in copenhagen?
The strike of animators in 1940 was very bitter but I can't
remember the details of the strike. Walt was I believe disillusioned
with some of the animators that he employed and this may have
made him harder to work for.
does anyone know what happened to the minature train that
he had going around his house???
