I am trying to put together materials for a course on French Cinema, and I'd
like to hear from anybody from Screen-L who has experience with this. I'm
looking for texts, as well as suggestions on what to teach.
Unfortunately, I'm mostly stuck with video (can order 3 16 mm films). In
the past I've had bad luck with Godard & most avant-garde cinema... But
would be willing to try something more contemporary... I guess the question
would be: what 12 films would you select as being representative of
French cinema as a whole?

Any input, syllabi, reference suggestions, etc, would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance,
Marc Snyder
