Summertime summertime sum-sum-summertime...
For many of us on an academic schedule, summertime means we'll be
away from our e-mail machinery (or even losing our e-mail accounts).
If you don't turn off your e-mail from discussion groups like SCREEN-L
you can wind up with a stuffed mailbox when you return and on some
systems that can make your account unusable.
To avoid this, either unsubscribe from SCREEN-L permanently or
turn your mail delivery off temporarily.
To do either of these, send mail to SCREEN-L's LISTSERV, the software
that runs SCREEN-L, and place your command in the message. Plese note
that this mail must be sent to LISTSERV not SCREEN-L. The address is

[log in to unmask] (Internet)
Choose one of the following commands and put it in the first line of
your message, but not in the addressing header:
UNSUBSCRIBE SCREEN-L or
SET SCREEN-L NOMAIL
That otter do it. Send me a note if you have any problems.
P.S. Oh yes, to resume delivery of mail when you return, send the
command SET SCREEN-L MAIL.
