OKAY here's the scoop

What I'm looking at is fan communities and how they create those
communities. I'm concentrating on QL because it is relatively new. I
originally wanted to use slash as an example of the inversion of the
Gaze, but do to circumstances beyond my control, slash topics
wouldn't fly. So I started looking at crossover's which are much
more prevalent in QL fan zine fiction than in any other (IMO) as
long as you make allowances for how young it is. So now (as in this
week) I've been asked to delve into that more deeply, and look at
how crossovers are being used in QL zine fic. As of this moment
(i.e. tentatively) QL crossovers are mostly used to heal wrongs of
other fictional universes, or of QL. Wrongs are things like whole
seasons, bad episodes, poor character stories, etc.

B &B shows up frequently. I think because of the similarties in the
ethics of the show, as well as the plot device of being able to leap
into Vincent and fix things.

BTW- Have you seen Jenkins article on B&B?

take care, let me know if you want examples.
