The major academic film organizations in the US are the University
Film and Video Association and the Society for Cinema Studies. Each
of them sponsors a journal for the academic study of film and
television. UFVA's is THE JOURNAL OF FILM AND VIDEO; SCS's is
CINEMA JOURNAL (which also includes TV crit).

Let me know if you'd like addresses for subscribing.

      Hear that lonesome whippoorwill?
He sounds too blue to fly.
The midnight train is whining low,
I'm so lonesome I could cry.
