Dear colleagues, The TikTok Cultures Research Network is pleased to announce its fourth virtual event TikTok and Social Movements < https://tiktokcultures.com/tiktok-and-social-movements/> on 20 September organized by founding members Dr Jin Lee, Associate Professor Crystal Abidin, and Dr Bondy Valdovinos Kaye. The half-day event will take place via Zoom on 20 September at 1200-1700 (GMT+8). The event will showcase emergent research on the potentials, promises, pitfalls, and parameters of various movements on TikTok. The event will feature a keynote delivered by Dr Ariadna Matamoros-Fernández (Queensland University of Technology) <https://tiktokcultures.files.wordpress.com/2021/09/matamoros-fernandez-bio.pdf> and four sessions by 16 panelists from Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, and North America.
