The 1998 third (British) edition of _Signs and Meaning in the Cinema_ includes
"Lee Russell's" writings for _New Left Review_ and an interview with Wollen
"conducted" by "Lee Russell".  The interview in particular makes the situation
more clear. Besides, "plagiarism is necessary, progress implies it."
