In case you're interested in more of the John Candy final film story, it's
unique. Candy died of a massive heart attack March 4, 1994 in Durango,
where he had been shooting Wagons East for 10 weeks with just 10 more days
to go. Some accounts say that Candy was supposed to have only a minimal
role in the scenes that remained, and those scenes were recorded using
another actor in John Candy's place. Candy's face was then added using
computers - digital enhancement enabled him to be seen in the final scenes.
The show must go on!
