A one-day conference on the work of Chris Marker will take place
on Saturday 16 November at the Institute of Contemporary Arts
(ICA), London.
Confirmed Participants: Ian Christie (Birkbeck), Patrick ffrench
(King's College London), Jon Kear (Kent), Catherine Lupton
(Roehampton), Michael Witt (Roehampton)
To coincide with the 20th anniversary re-release of Sans Soleil, this
one-day conference will explore the range and vitality of Chris
Marker's activities as an essayist, thinker and artist in film, video
and multimedia, and examine the significance of his work as an
essential point of reference, interest and convergence for scholars,
thinkers and creative artists in many fields.
The ICA will also be running a short season of Marker's film and
video work during November.
