I teach film appreciation at the University of Hyderabad. Coming Fall I am
going to be teaching a course on Indian Cinema. While I have been able to
gather some relevent study material for the course, I feel I need some more
of it.

Can anyone suggest readings (books, articles, monographs, theses) on Indian
Cinema with particular reference to Popular Cinema?
