If I recall correctly, there's some romantic tension, at least, between an
Indian prince and an English nun in Powell and Pressburger's BLACK
NARCISSUS (U.K., 1946), which transgresses not only racial but religious
boundaries.
 
Bunuel's THE YOUNG ONE (Mexico, 1960, but with a U.S. setting and cast) has
the title girl becoming emotionally involved with a fugitive black
musician.
