Hmm. Depending on what is meant by "enacted," the film, The Horse's Mouth,
with Alec Guiness, based on Joyce Cary's novel about the painter Gulley
Jimson,
may be a candidate for you. Jimson/Guiness's paintings develop through the
film as he finds large spaces to paint his pictures.... Paintings dominate
him
and eventually the audience shares this obsession....
