Victoria University of Wellington is seeking to appoint two Lecturers/Senior
Lecturers in the Media Studies programme.

Successful candidates will be expected to have a primary expertise in one or
more of the following areas: new media, news and journalism studies, media
and cultural identity including but not exclusively media in Aotearoa/New
Zealand, media policy, media history, mass communications, communication
studies.

The appointees will require a PhD in media studies or a related field; have
a good research record; have experience in undergraduate teaching and course
coordination and the ability to teach large first year courses.

For the Senior Lecturer position, it is desirable that the appointees have
three or more years of research and teaching experience as part of an
academic faculty; have experience in postgraduate supervision and be
recognised within the international research community.
