Position: Lectureship in Film & TV Studies

Grade and Salary: Lecturer A, £22,939 - £25,110 (inc of London Allowance)
The University wishes to appoint a teacher active in research and/or practice to join a committed staff team in Film and TV Studies. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching on the practice/theory provision at undergraduate level and to a new MA in Documentary. Video practice is taught with the aim of developing critical practitioners who have a theoretical and historical understanding of screen media. The successful applicant will be an active researcher/practitioner whose work can contribute to either the Screen Media or Creative Practice research group submission to the next RAE or its equivalent. All applicants should have a good Honours degree and where appropriate, an advanced postgraduate qualification (ideally a PhD, either finished or nearing completion) within the field of film and television studies. An active commitment to research and/or practice is essential, as is experience of teaching in higher education.
