The University of Alabama is looking for applicants for two new positions in media studies: one in media management and one in emerging media.



UA's Telecommunication and Film Department is in the process of merging with the Journalism Department to form the Department of Journalism and Creative Media (JCM). The short descriptions of these two new JCM positions are (please follow the links for more information):



Media Management



Conduct research and teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Journalism and Creative Media. Teaching in at least one of the following areas: entrepreneurship, media management, media strategy, web/data analytics, and audience analysis. Perform appropriate service.

Emerging Media



Conduct research and teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Journalism and Creative Media. Teaching in at least one of the following areas: digital media effects and uses, digital online networks, interactive media, multimedia storytelling, data visualization and informatics, and supporting applications and technologies. Perform appropriate service.
