I talked to people at the Film Center in Japan last month. They have 
assembled a team to investigate and catalog exactly what is in the 
collection. However, as of last month, they had not actually gone to 
the house and extracted anything. Everything is exactly as he left 
it---a big mess.  There are rumors that there are a couple important 
lost films in the piles of films, but the Film Center people are trying 
not to get their hopes up. Nothing is certain until they open cans, and 
that will still take quite a bit of time at this pace.
