Patricia, I think you're right, that the ad agency and Nike didn't listen
carefully to the lyrics.  I think they just wanted to bask in the rebel
cool of Iggy Pop, and liked the combat metaphor of it all, (and also missed
the sexual metaphor).  But it still makes me sick.  Somehow it wouldn't
bother me so much if when they commodify my heroes they at least got the
main message right.  Yeah, I know, that's the way commodification works.
