What about Bad Influence(?), the movie with Rob Lowe where he
plays a psychopath who uses video as a sadistic tool.  Many critics
at the time pointed to the irony of the plot given the video mess
Lowe had gotten himself in a couple of years earlier.
 
Also, isn't there some movie coming out (or recently out) where
a father with a fatal illness videotapes his last few months for
his infant kid?
