Regarding Ian's recent response to Jennifer. Point of information: HOOP
DREAMS, a recent theatrical release receiving much critical acclaim, was
shot on video, Beta.  Was picked up by Fine Line (a division of New Line)
and is being shown in theatres across the country. They didn't edit on an
Avid, but it would have helped, not hurt their effort. The point is the
filmmakers had something to say and used the best resources then at their
disposal. Good films are not technology driven.
