Henry Allen at the Washington Post is doing a story on screenwriting and
needs some measure of the study of screenwriting - e.g., how many
colleges/universities have screenwriting classes or majors, how many
professors teach screenwriting, how many students are enrolled in
screenwriting classes/majors. He will take any good measure, i.e. academic
or continuing ed study, graduate or undergrad. I have contacted
websites, libraries & a couple of professors at the AFI, USC, the Academy
of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, and the Society for Cinema Studies to
no avail. I know of the Complete Guide to American Film Schools - is this
the best way to go? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Naturally, the
reporter is on deadline!
