    The Searchers was one ofthe Wayne films that I liked the LEAST (my
    favorites were the ones he did in the 60's).  Even though I am
    the least politically correct person on the planet (and proud on
    it), I am somehow appalled by the assumptions about the Indians
    in that film.  I gues that I am so used to Ed on Northern
    Exposure that there is no room for Geronimo anymore!!!!!!
