I am a manuscript cataloger at the Humanities Research
Center at UT-Austin.
I've been enjoying Screen-L for a while now and meaning to let you know I was
out here, because I'm cataloging one of our film collections, the Gloria
Swanson Archive.
I read the posting from Sweden this morning concerning TV commercials/
political spots and wanted to reply, but couldn't find my documentation and
didn't want to screw up your board. Would you pass along that Vanderbilt has
a Television News Archive, which has been taping all three network nightly
news broadcasts (including commercials, I'm pretty sure) since 1968. They
also publish an index, Television News Index & Abstracts. Contact person is
Scarlett Graham @ 615/322-2927, sorry I don't have an EMail address.
They do provide reproductions for a fee.
