The Communication Arts Department of Framingham State College is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning Fall 2000. Applicants should share the department’s commitment to interdisciplinary work that integrates new electronic media with the humanities. An MFA with a strong record of professional and creative work in audio/video and film production along with substantial teaching experience at the college level is required. Familiarity with non-linear editing systems is a plus. The successful candidate will teach courses in audio and television production along with broadcast studies. The ability to teach an introductory theory or studio course in either writing for audio/visual media, computer graphics and/or visual communications is an advantage. Advising, continuing scholarship, and other professional activities are also required of all faculty.
