I am writing to inform you of a great new totally on-line film journal, Scope. Scope - an Online Journal of Film Studies is published by the University of Nottingham's Institute of Film Studies and aims to increase scholorship in all areas of film studies. At the end of each year, we will publish an annual compendium, which will include all published materials from that year. (The first version will appear autumn 2000). This will also be published simultaneously as a PDF and in hardcopy. The print version will be available to individuals and libraries for a small fee, necessary to cover printing costs, but all online versions will continue to be free to all. New book reviews are published every 3 months, so the next publication date will be mid August, 1999. The first articles will be published in January 2000. If you would like to be sent a reminder on these dates, please contact us, providing us with your name, contact details, research interests and position. It would be great if you could provide us with a link. . .
