Basically the Oscars were business as usual in every sense of the word. Their choices, although not to my liking, were a bit better than last year, which were one of the low points in a long history of low points. Lets face it, the Oscars's long history of award giving is littered with forgotten & dreadful films & performances. Do I need mention The Greatest Show On Earth, Grand Hotel, Cimarron, Cavalcade,The Great Ziegfeld & quite recently the absolute disgraceful choices of Dances With Wolves & BraveHeart. At least Shakespeare In Love didn't make me want to vomit, although Princess Gwyneth & Benigni came close.
