We are seeking European partner institutions to join us in a project to develop student centred discussion in the areas of Film, Culture, History. This will be part of a Netd@ys project. Netd@ys Europe is a European Commission initiative to promote the effective use of online technology in education and training. The main objective is to raise awareness in the educational community of the potential value of new online technology as a teaching and learning resource. Numerous projects throughout Europe will roll out during the November Netd@ys week (13 - 21 November). These projects are based on partnerships between the education and training community and enterprises. Our specific intention here in Bristol, UK, is to address the issue of language, by drawing in contacts beyond French or English, and involve schools, with young adults as well as older students, in discussions which focus on diverse European national film, and even perhaps promote the construction of multilingual web sites which celebrate the rich variety of European cultures. If you are interested in becoming a partner, please contact me in English, Norman Taylor, direct.
