Dr. Jacobs I think a significant film that uses still frames Is Chris Markerīs "La Jeteé" (1963). It is a 30 min. picture that only uses photographs and a ominous voice over to tell a tragic story. Itīs a rather experimental fil but the result is brillant. It is a well known film ans three decades later, Terry Giliam filmed a remake called "Twelve Monkeys".
