Ray Ishigata requests: > I would appreciate being notifed of any other feature films, no matter how > old, in which a therapist or psychiatrist sleeps with his/her patient or a > close relative of same; or undertakes unlawful behavior (eg, Dressed to > Kill/DePalma). Although in these Code-era films, sexual relations (however one defines the term!) are not depicted, you can find at least innuendo as well as other unethical behavior by shrinks in I, THE JURY (the villain is a woman psychiatrist); Hitchcock's SPELLBOUND; and Jacques Tourneur's original version of CAT PEOPLE. (In the latter, the shrink comes on to the woman who thinks she changes into a panther when sexually approached, so she turns into a panther and kills him!) This does not include abusive behavior in asylums, from BEDLAM to SHOCK CORRIDOR to ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST.
