At a conference in Rome, Italy, in July, 1998, sponsored jointly by the National Communication Association and the International Communication Association, a small group of scholars will present a "walking panel" on the rhetoric and technology of Roman tourist sites. One element of the tour will be a talk by Professor Guido Michelone on representations of the Colosseum in film. I am setting up a modest supplementary web site for the walking panel, and would like to add to it a suggested list of films about the Colosseum and about Rome; suggestions for films to add to the list are welcome. The web site (still a rough draft and very much under construction) is at http://www.personal.psu.edu/faculty/t/3/t3b/rome_welcome.htm thanks Tom Benson Thomas W.
