Does anyone know of good resources for the history of television's industrial design, i.e. archives, books, or individual academics who work in that area? I actually have a very specific question that someone out there may already know: at what point did "power" replace "on/off" on television consoles and remotes? If my own memory serves, it was shortly after remote controls became standard issue - perhaps around the mid-70s? Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. thanks, David Conner UC Santa Cruz ---- Screen-L is sponsored by the Telecommunication & Film Dept., the University of Alabama.
