AFI FILM FESTIVAL TO PRESENT PORTION OF ITS PROGRAM ON THE INTERNET -Short Feature Films will be presented at AFI Website- LOS ANGELES, Calif (Thursday, October 23, 1997)- Making it a truly international event, the 11th annual AFI Los Angeles International Film Festival, which begins October 23 in Hollywood, will feature a special festival venue online , presenting a portion of its programming on the AFI Website. As the newest venue added to Los Angeles' most prominent and popular film festival, on October 27 the award-winning AFI OnLine will begin screening 13 short films from around the world, all of which are included in the festival's competition category. AFI OnLine <www.afionline.org> is one of the Internet's most popular and comprehensive sites for film, television and new media information and resources.
