This Call is Being Cross-Posted

>>>>>>Call for Papers for an electronic volume of Romantic Praxis, a Series
of Critical Writings on British and European Romanticism and Contemporary
Theory:<http://www.inform.umd.edu/RC/pages/praxis/index.html>.

Romanticism, Romantic Theory, and the Cinema:

Film is a product of the nineteenth century and is
rooted, in ways both obscure and obvious, in late
romanticism. Film is also amenable to analyses that use the
methodologies of critical theory often applied to the
texts of the romantic period. The forthcoming volume
seeks submissions that explore any aspect of film--historical, textual,
theoretical--that links it to the work of romantic studies. Due date: late
March, 1998.
