t recall if anyone has mentioned PENNY SERENADE, which is a strange
mix of humor and pathos involving adoption.
 
From Africa, Traore's WEND KUUNI deals with an abandoned mute boy
who is adopted by a family and village--it's a beautiful and
elegaic piece.
 
And, on the other side of things, recall that Kal-El of Krypton
was adopted by the Kents of Kansas!
