Two quick Canadian additions to the perversions and adoptions list:

KISSED (Lynne Stopkewich, 1996) is about a female necrophile, and might provide
a tasteful counterpoint to the Nekromantic films mentioned by someone else

FAMILY VIEWING (Atom Egoyan) reverses the usual adoption narrative by having
the child adopt a new family by pretending to be their long-lost son. In their
excitement and desire to reconnect, everyone conveniently ignores the fact that
he doesn't look a bit Armenian or like the childhood pictures of the real son.
A strange and wonderful meditation on what it means to choose a community or
family rather than live with the accidents of biology.
