During the week of August 25, the Scary Women web site (www.cinema.ucla.edu/women/) will host a discussion of "THE LEECH WOMAN'S Revenge: On the Dread of Aging in a Low-Budget Horror Film" by Vivian Sobchack (Associate Dean of the Schoolof Theater, Film, and Television at UCLA; author of THE ADDRESS OF THE EYE: A PHENOMENOLOGY OF FILM EXPERIENCE and editor of THE PERSISTENCE OF HISTORY: CINEMA, TELEVISION, AND THE MODERN EVENT.) The discussion will be moderated by Rhona Berenstein (UC Irvine), who is the author of ATTACK OF THE LEADING LADIES: GENDER, SEXUALITY, AND SPECTATORSHIP IN CLASSIC HORROR CINEMA.
