Position Assistant professor in Drama & Communications at the University of New Orleans with a specialty in Film and Video Production. Assume duties Fall, 1997. Qualifications: M.F.A. or Ph.D. in Film/Communications. University teaching experience preferred. Primary teaching responsibilities in film and video production. Collateral area in digital video/audio or screenwriting required. Demonstration of filmmaking and video production experience required. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Duties: Teach courses in introductory and advanced film and video production. Direct and/or edit one major departmentally-spondored film or video project per year and/or supervise M.F.A. students in film and video production. (9 hours treaching, 3 hours production/research per semester.) Additional Information The Drama and Communications Department is a production-oriented derpartment with 15 full-time and 3 part-time faculty serving approximately 400 undrgraduate and 75 graduate students. The department offers the B.S., M.A. and M.F.A. degrees with areas of concentration in film, video and theatre. The Department participates in two graduate interdisciplinary programs: an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (with tracks in playwriting, screenwriting, fiction, and poetry) and an M.A. in Arts Administration.
